At Moose Dog Brewing, we truly believe that our customers are family. Megan and Matt are always ready to get you something cold to drink. Renae and Diana are ready to bring a smile to your face. And, you just might find Jeff or Zack pulling up a chair at your table. Don't be alarmed, they just want to talk beer with you. (Jaxon, the dog, may be around as well.)

We often get questions about why our beers all have their own Bible verse attached to them. At Moose Dog, we believe that God gave us beer to gladden our hearts. He didn't intend for it to be abused, but did intend for it to be enjoyed. We believe that God has got to be at the center of everything we do. So, we pray over every batch in the fermenter. There's often worship playing or being sung (usually by Renae). Bible verses adorn our fermentation tanks. Our menus and our labels tell the story of each verse for each beer. It's not uncommon to see Moosedoggies being prayed for. And, there have been many times when a good theological discussion has lasted late into the evening.  Moose Dog is designed, brewed, and served for the glory of God, for all to enjoy, and in an environment where all are welcomed whether you're full of faith or not!  

People ask us all the time, "Why Moose Dog?" When Jeff and Zack began brewing in 2010, Jeff and Diana had a Great Dane/Golden Retriever named Duke. On brew day, it wasn't unusual for Duke to find his way into the brewing operation and interrupt the process as he sought a petting session from his favorite uncle, Zack. He took up a lot of space in the cramped quarters and soon starting being called things like a "moose of a dog." This was later shortened to "Moose Dog" which began showing up on homemade labels when beer was passed out to friends.

Duke is proudly displayed on some of our labels and in our tasting room. And, after his homegoing in 2021, Duke's Brew was created in his honor. So, if you have a second, grab your beer in our taproom and toast Duke, our beloved "Moose Dog".
